Not just any Thirty, this Thursday

Not sure if I posted this before. We're in the immediate aftermath of a 1981 UP steam excursion with 8444, returning from Laramie to Denver. He blew by a few minutes go. 

That most-famous-of-all GP30 (844, whose purchase some 20 years ago required the renumbering of UP's famous 4-8-4) is sitting on a side track (LaSalle, CO if memory serves). There's a freight in the background, getting ready to follow the excursion south.
