Author: hank On February 13, 1999 a pair of SD70MAC locomotives are holding at the North end of the Williford, Arkansas passing track waiting to meet a southbound BNSF Z train as hshown in the first video clip. Moments after the last trailer of the Z train passes, the MAC powered empty grain train gets the switch and signal to continue northbound as the engineer gets to full throttle quickly as shown in the second video clip. Location is North Central Arkansas and on the BNSF Thayer South sub.

Southbound would’ve been a rather late Z-LACMEM1-11 with a Harvard (AR) block on the head-end followed by the Memphis (NS) block, laden with UPS trailers.
Definitely miss the assortment of power back in those days. |
