Nostalgia & History > Looking for grade profileDate: 03/18/25 11:10 Looking for grade profile Author: ns2557 Was asked about what the grades were on the ex MOP out of Kansas west into Colorado as they went to Pueblo. Specifically what the grades were between Eads Colo and NA Jct with particular interest in the Arlington Colo area. Had heard that in the area of Arlington the grades were around 3% between Arlington and MP 824. Is that correct? Kinda difficult to see that out here on the MP but I could be wrong. Anyone know what they were? Thanks, Ben

Nothing like 3% anywhere on the Coloraddo portion of the MoP line. The line basically was high above the Arkansas river and was know for crossing the upper pat of many streams. I do have one possible source, but will need to check that before I comment more. Nope, struck out there. Some railroads include wome grade dta in ETTs, but MP didn't.
