1 - Southern Pacific #291 and the DEL MONTE on the end of Amtrak train #13 the Westbound Coast Starlight arriving in Santa Barbara California thru the yard on December 13th, 1976.
2 - Southern Pacific #657002 a 50 foot double door boxcar in a Westbound train going thru the Santa Barbara yard on December 13th, 1976.
3 - TNCX #43131 - a Nestle Company 50 foot plug door boxcar  (BLT 7-70) in an Eastbound SP train going thru the Santa Barbara yard on December 15th, 1976.

Does Nestle still have railcars today?

It was nice to see a pic of a Nestle insulated box again. I used to haul them regularly. Later a number of them got painted just box car red. I think the billboard style paint on some leased cars like Nestle's made them more of a target for theft. I always wondered why most of the leased Nestle cars I hauled were equipped with solid bearing journals long after most high class equipment had rollers. I always thought the TNCX reporting marks were cool because back then Nestle wanted to be known as "The Nestle Company". It even displays that on the car. The Nestle cars were some of my favorites too because I grew up watching Farfal the dog singing the Nestle jingle in tv commercials.
