Nostalgia & History > Toss Back Tuesday: Neat old stuff in CheyenneDate: 04/15/25 06:07 Toss Back Tuesday: Neat old stuff in Cheyenne Author: santafe199 I still don’t know what the specific occasion was, but Uncle Pete put on quite a showing of historic engines, cars & other equipment in late August of 1985. Here are a couple of previous threads from that day: ( UP Rotary posed & UP 5511 in 1985! ).
1. UP baggage car 904304. 2. UP M.O.W. box 903543. 3. Mount Hood RR caboose #7. Three original Kodachrome trader slides taken August 30, 1985 in Cheyenne, WY by William Metzger. From the late James W. Watson collection. Thanks for looking back! I'm guessing the boxcar roof protrudes a bit, and dripping water has to fall a few inches before it can hit the side of the car... Lance |
