Well, I guess I can add this one to the "dumb luck" file. 

We're standing in a corner conference room in the office building where I spent the
last several years of my career, looking out over the Hudson River. It's a couple days after Labor Day. As part of the annual tugboat roundup at Waterford, NY, the Lehigh Valley lighterage barge has been towed up the river for display, and is now headed back downstream. 

Then, a several hours late Lake Shore Limited shows up. Sometimes, the deities work with you.
