Home for the Holidays on The Milwaukee Road

I found this years ago in a November 19, 1931 copy of The Ione Gazette (Ione, Washington)and thought it would be nice to show you all. The Milwaukee branch line went from Spokane to Metaline Falls, but when I lived in Newport, Washington (1979 to 1984), the rails had been pulled up south of Newport years before.

Here is a similar "Home for the Holidays" ad published
by the GCSF. I am told the year was 1906.
