Man that must have been some sight. I bet some of those kids in the photo still remember that moment after all these years.

If it makes any difference, my buddy has modeled this bridge in N scale, to scale... You'd be hard pressed to tell a difference. Let me know if you boys wanna see pictures.

You can get close. After 2-3 beers around a fire ring at the Gaviota campground on a moonlit night, just about any train going over the trestle will conjur up images of days past. Bob

As a youngster camping at Refugioi Beach just south of the trestle, I can remeber the Daylight roudning the curve with the engineer pulling the whistle as she went around. What a site. Thabnks for the photo!
