Nostalgia & History > SP 4324 Albany,OR circa 1971Date: 06/16/04 12:06 SP 4324 Albany,OR circa 1971 Author: Jefflocal Found this not to great picture taken at 34th St. I think in 1971 maybe 72. The print is only about a 3x3 inch size. I'm surp- ised it lasted. I'm curious if anyone knows where this train was headed. It must have come up the main from Eugene and has switched onto the now gone connecting track to the Mill City branch. I'm guessing it must have been going to Griggs or Mill City. Thanks for any info Geoff Date: 06/16/04 12:33 Re: SP 4324 Albany,OR circa 1971 Author: WestinAshahr In the early to mid-70's they ran a Lebanon Hauler which I believe came out of Eugene for a short time.

Here is the second engine on the same train. The number dates the picture for sure and it looks like the 3894 even has an icicle breaker.
