Detroit, Toledo and Ironton in '72

In summer '72, this northbound DT&I freight was on C&O tracks nearing Leipsic, OH, were it would head back onto home rails for the remainder of the run to the DT&I yards in Flat Rock, MI.

Thanks for sharing this photo! Growing up near Hamler OH, I had many opportunities to see the DT&I in action. Unfortunately I didn't start photographing trains until after the Grand Trunk had come along. You don't by chance have any DT&I photos on the Tecumseh branch between Malinta & Napoleon?
