N&W patch job on one of it's own

Shot this interesting( because I have never seen any others like it )relettered ex Wabash geep in Brewster,Ohio on Feb 25th,1982. A few of the ex Illinois Terminal units got this large "NW" treatment around this time, but this is the only unit I've seen redone N&W to NW in this "CR" like fashion. My guess is that it didn't last long after the NS merger.

Sure seems like I remember N&W painting a big NW over some of the green IT units and leaving them green. Anyone else remember this or is my memory THAT hazy now?
