To Superior (via BN) in the C&NW days.

Late in the day a pair of C&NW SD40-2s roar through the interlocking plant at University Ave. in Minneapolis, MN. Most of the trip over BN's Hinckley Sub will be done in the darkness with the 6830 and train arriving at the remnant Itasca Yard near Superior, WI in the wee small hours of the next morning.

Nice photo from one of my favorite places that I seldom get to anymore. Never realized I'd miss the C&NW so much.......
