Brighton Ave. to be precise. Hill Lumber Co. was the final customer in 1979 although there were many customers on the Oakland District in earlier years.

This photo was taken at the spur for "Golden Gate Stucco" located on the other side of Brighton Ave from Hill Lumber Company.

All these Santa Fe photos bring back many happy memories for me!

Thanks. I appreciate the correction. The white building in the distance by the gondola looked sort of like Hill Lumber to me. I realize Hill's switch was the other direction, however. Even today one can tell by the property lines that a spur was once there. It is really amazing to me how much business was once along that track in Berkeley, Albany and El Cerrito, all pretty much residential now. Even spur(s) from the main track toward the El Cerrito quarries.
