I appreciate the correction. The white building in the distance by the gondola looked sort of like Hill Lumber to me. I realize Hill's switch was the other direction, however. Even today one can tell by the property lines that a spur was once there. It is really amazing to me how much business was once along that track in Berkeley, Albany and El Cerrito, all pretty much residential now. Even spur(s) from the main track toward the El Cerrito quarries. |
