Shoulder to the Wheel

Almost lost in the haze of their exhaust Union Pacific SD40-2 3218, a SD24B and a SD45 lean into Sullivan’s Curve, Cajon Pass with a hot piggyback train in 1976. A couple of years later Santa Fe relayed Sullivan’s Curve to widen out this curve and another at Cajon.
