Nostalgia & History > Moving UP 4-8-8-4 #4014 in 1962Date: 02/01/05 17:02 Moving UP 4-8-8-4 #4014 in 1962 Author: TonyJ It is January 5, 1962 and UP "Big Boy" #4014 is on its way to a new home at the Pomona County Fairgrounds. There isn't much background to most of the photos, but I'm guess the photos were taken at Yermo. -George Majors photo - Tony J.

Cool pic, as I've never seen an over view of Yermo like this before. The water tower and some of the out buildings were still there when I was forced up there in '78. Great pictures! -BMT

I visited the 4014 at the Pomona County Fairgrounds in 1962, little realizing it just arrived there. - Tony J Date: 02/02/05 15:38 #4014 9/14/02 Author: kimura davew833 Wrote:

(I'm not holding my breath) Actually I here the 4018 in Texas is the best candidate, remember the possible Movie called the same a few years back where they were going to get it going? Alot of posts on TO for that one.. Money fell through and never panned out..
