In August '91, Santa Fe's HOT 2-991 train was eastbound passing the Vaughn, NM, depot in typical summer mosoon weather.

Nice picture, Joe. Any idea what the purpose of the second-story bay window on the BIG Belen Cutoff depots (Vaughn, Melrose, and Clovis, NM) was? I was under the impression that the second story on the small depots was living quarters; did the big ones have more offices up there?
