Date: 03/26/05 20:24 Tidewater Southern in Modesto, Calif. Author: Westbound Back in the early 1960s I used to live just 1/2 block from this siding. The TS would occasionally switch cars there and even kick cars in mid-day over Coldwell Ave. - with a flagman on the crossing of course. I did not see daylight trains there that much. Often heard them go slowly through in the middle of the night, blowing minimal whistle for the crossings, thankfully for my rest.
