third is a shot of an old SCL signal bridge at hermitage rd crossing south of acca yard. The matching one facing south has been replaced by pole signals...and this one eventually will be also.

Richmond question...
Author: stash

What about that pair of railroad bridges near downtown Richmond that made for a famous photo? There was a rail line on the ground, one on a bridge, and another one on a higher bridge. One photo I saw showed three locomotives, stacked, you might say.

Still there?

N&W didn't go to Richmond. West Point line is ex-Southern.

The triple crossing is still there...a half mile or so west of where i took that picture at...the southern is the bottem the c and o the mille and the acl??? was the top...it's right beside the richmond floodwall now so getting a great angle might be tricky but doable.
