Moving all alone in the middle of Bayshore Yard is GP20E SSW4135. It has just cut off a local freight from Redwood City and is heading to the East (South) end of the yard so it can then reverse and head to the roundhouse. - Tony J.

It was very cramped as I tried to photograph GP20E SSW4138 as it was undergoing the upgrading program. It was built as SSW803, and later became SSW4033. As SSW4138 is never had a long life as it was later destroyed in January 1979 at Rosenberg, Texas with GP9E SP3321. It was scrapped by Chrome. - Tony J.

GP20R SP4146 at West Oakland on March 8, 1977. The elevated structure in the background are the tracks of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART). When SSW4146 was built as SSW817 in 1962, BART was a dream. - Tony J.
