(1 of 2) Author: MacBeau Traffic patterns were nothing like they should have been in July of 1993. Despite the cresting flood waters, C&NWs crossing at Clinton, Iowa remained open, and so the C&NW found itself running other folk's trains.
An example was this westbound SOO detouring to Kansa City, their own mainline at Muscatine under water.  Date: 06/04/05 19:57 ChicagoLand 1993, Turner Jct. (2 of 2) Author: MacBeau The CN&W had lots of traffic of their own to move too, as illustrated by this 139 car eastbound behind an SD60/SD50 duo.
