Diesels West vs. Streamlines
Author: MysticHowler

I noticed earlier today that Streamlines has a SD70MAC set up. I also know that DW is coming out with thier SD70MAC set soon. Who is better? I have the SD70ACe Pack from streamlines and it is awsome, but at the same time, I have a bunch of sets from DW, and they are awsome.
Which company do you prefer?
Once I get beck from my trip, and get a job, I am probably going to get both train sets.

I was just wondering, the pic from the inside of the cab is of a stopped train right?

Yes it is stopped. Notice he has 13 pounds of air set(train brakes), the reverser in neutral, and 33 pounds of independent(loco brakes), and the speedomoter at 0. That thing isn't going anywhere.:)

Both artists are great in their own right, but I personally would have to go with the Streamlines MACs. DW units tend to appear off scale, the textures arent as good as Streamlines, they use the shine feature when these things shouldnt shine, DW doesnt weather their units, the sounds arent very good (especially the airbrake sounds)...my list goes on and on. but of course this is just my opinion.

I noticed the brakepipe reduction is the reason I asked.

Except the fact that a good portion of the sounds are from the default equipment...
