Railfan Gaming > Rail Simulator problem

Just loaded the Rail Simulator from EA. Loaded both updates too. When I start the game I get to the main screen fine and to the screen offering routes. Both look OK. When I select a route and try to play it in the simple mode it take over a minute to load and then goes to a blank, black screen. I think I hear sound that might be game related. My laptop seems frozen. Ctrl+Alt+Delete only sometimes gives me the Windows Task Manager and if I use that to close the game, it is often unresponsive and all I can do is a forced power down.

Help!

My resolution is set to 1280 x 800. Is that OK? I tried to not use full screen mode but that doesn't pass the test mode.

Help.

How do I find out what graphics card I have. I read their FAQs and that is something I should check.

I'm suing a Dell Inspiron 1520 with Windows XP and SP 3 installed.
