CN RSC-24 photos?
Author: NGotwalt

I'm looking for photos of these units. Does anybody here have any they could post?
Cheers,
Nick

I've posted some of these previously, but most are new to this forum. In May 1967, the CRHA (Canadian Railroad Historical Association) ran a fan trip using CN RSC-24 south from Montreal to Waterloo QC, over the route of the Montreal & Southern Counties interurban traction route which CN acquired in the 1950's. The bridges along the route still had catenary supports, as seen at St.Cesaire. A runpast was held at Fort Chambly, site of a British victory in the War of 1812. I had my first ever cab ride on CN 1800.

The train is shown on the Richelieu River bridge near Granby QC, and the locomotive and baggage car are shown at the Waterloo QC station. I seem to have walked in front of the photo line, for which I was duly chastised in two languages. I never did that again. I was a teenager at the time. The trainman cuts a fine figure in his passenger uniform riding in the stepwell of CN 1800 at Waterloo

Finally, a locomotive portrait. The locomotives ran long nose first.

Cool little locomotive. Looks like they ran a normal RSC into a wall and came up with that.

Such a beautiful paint scheme...engine and cars...the noodle is nice but nothing beats this classic!

I love those engines, neat little motive power. Thanks for the photos.

Easy... take an Overland N&W high-nose C628 and wash it in HOT water with a strong detergent and bleach. Dry on High Heat Permanant Press for exactly 45 minutes (50 minutes will get you an N-gauge RSD3...).

Wasn't there a brass import about 10 years ago?
