1. AC 9816 is on the point of a parked intermodal waiting for a new crew to continue its eastbound trip. This picture was taken at the east switch of Keith Yard. 2. Taken from the west switch of Keith Yard 9610 is on the rear of the above intermodal. 3. ES44AC 8854 is on the point of a westbound potash train that is going to pass through the yard and back into the siding occupied by the intermodal once it begins to pull out and head east. ES44AC 8834 is midtrain unit on this potash train with 9825 on the end. This unit had a slightly crispy upper carbody from a previous fire.
6. The eastbound intermodal has begun to head out of the siding as a second potash train with ES44AC 8718 on the point pulls to a stop on the main. Neil Compton Calgary, AB Date: 06/01/11 13:36 Re: Keith Yard - one hours worth of railfanning Author: Lerchy 7. 8854 has almost completed its backup move into the siding just vacated by the intermodal.
8. ES44AC 8718 leading the second potash train has a clear signal and now heads westbound. 9. AC4400C is the rear DPU on the second potash train. (9736 was mid-train). Any chance that you can give us some of that PRB coal trains coming through town? I am wondering if they switch to CP units or do they have BNSF units on it? Rick Date: 06/02/11 10:02 Re: Keith Yard - one hours worth of railfanning Author: JGFuller O boy - lots of jacking around to get one train around the other!
Looks like the rear unit of the potash isn't displaying a marker or illuminated headlight. I think that is required here in the colonies. Is the rule different in Canada? |
