Ex-UP C40-8s on the Squamish Sub.
Author: loleta

The two ex-Union Pacific C40-8s that have been on train 546, the North Vancouver to Squamish turn, for a few days were back at it again this morning, this time without the company of C40-8M BCOL 4601 (see http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?15,2912770). Here are CN 2110 and 2128 approaching the end of their run at North Vancouver yard.

Not breezy this day, but shaky: the bridge bounces quite a bit when buses and trucks go past. Fortunately, the walkway is wide and the railing high.
Saturday morning's train had two CN SD70M-2s and BCOL 4603, as seen here near mile 8.5. It sounds like another BCOL unit (4601 perhaps?) may be sitting in Squamish for some reason. Maybe Train611 can go check it out. . .

Actually, almost all bridges shake or flex when traffic is moving on them - even concrete ones.
