Meanwhile, things are starting to get busy at the VIA Station. Maritime Bus has arrived from Sydney with passengers connecting to the westbound Ocean for Montreal.

A short time later, the CB&CNS has assembled their train and are ready to head east.

....And within the next couple of weeks we should see CBNS 3022 return from St. Albans VT in full Genesee & Wyoming corporate colors sporting the CB&CNS Scottish Lion logo. (It's been reported the loco is already painted......anyone with a link?)

A VIA RDC from Truro to Sydney would be a nice replacement for that bus!!!

Afraid those days are LONG gone though!!!

The bus is much more practical on this route and a lot faster than the RDC would be.....the Trans Canada is 4-lane to east of New Glasgow and Phase I of the Antigonish by-pass is open.
But there’s always memories.....

He had just dropped his train when I arrived at 12:45 and was ready to head east again around 2:15pm.

But on the RDCs you could get a cup of coffee and something to eat. Can't do that on the bus, can you?
