I was involved in a derailment caused by a sharp flange that picked a switch point on a curve, and another where the rails spread due to rotten ties. I'm pretty sure if someone said I was derailment prone, I would have them check the facts...could just mean I work a lot of hours, sometimes with less than perfect equipment.
