Author: DKay

Received these pics this past week .I believe they are from many years ago.The crew of the loco hit the floor ,and escaped injury. The logs had to be cut from the cab ,before the crew could get out.Reported to have happened between Winnipeg ,and Sioux Lookout.
Lucky folks.

Happened at Mile 38 on the Redditt sub. I recently received some similar images. Anywhere there was glass, the pulpwood logs penetrated those area including the number boards. Hitting a loaded logging truck was a great fear for me, long logs loaded on a truck is quite an obstacle and would most likely clean the locomotive off at frame height. Doug

Dear...god...
My first reaction was a string of unprintable words...I'm glad the crew was ok. I think I'd need a relief crew and relief underwear if I escaped that!

Repaired, eventually became GCFX 6068 and today is BPRR 3331.

Ex. CN 5146
Author: Hookdragkick

Hey guys, I figured I'd share some old C-41 scans I was emailed last night from an Engineer I work with. He received them from a Teamster Union member in Canada. Shown is CN 5146 after an impact with a semi hauling pulp wood.

This is all the info I have:
Redditt Sub, mp.38, Sunstrum, ON.
Engineer hit the floor and head brakeman took cover under the front middle windows, against the wall. Both survived
