Wayback when in Ontario
Author: chatnoir

There is no rhyme nor reason to this post, I just thought I'd share a few from the past. My apologies if I've posted some of these before.

James Adeney
Toronto

1. May 13, 1973, Paris: CN 4266, a western visitor with flexicoil trucks, and two leased C&O geeps, duck under the classic iron bridge that used to stand at John Street.

2. July 19, 1976, North Bay: RS3 1308 and FP7 1501 bask in the warm sunshine on a quiet Sunday afternoon. No need to sign a release, just ask permission.

3. Mar 15, 1980, Drumbo: Three Montreal products, an RS18, RS10 and RS23, have a good roll on this westbound. The empty racks lead me to think it was 937.

4. July 12, 1980, Hamilton West: CN 3129 and another RS18 roll an eastbound passenger train off CN's Dundas Sub, as a sister RS18 tiptoes down CP's Goderich Sub. This is now CP's Hamilton Sub.

5. Sept. 6, 1980, Campbellville: Before there were unit oil trains CP ran unit acid trains, of which no one seemed to take notice. CP 5000, one of only two GP30s in Canada, has a pair of MLW C424s for company as it closes in on the summit at Guelph Jct.

6. Oct 29, 1984, Hamilton: TH&B 403, one of three passenger GP9s, leads an inspection train past the old coaling tower at the Chatham Street roundhouse.

Great shots. Number four with both the freight train and passenger train couldn't have been timed better.

The CP 8736 at Drumbo sure has changed a bit in almost 34 years. This was the other day.

If you have more pictures in and around the TH&B facility, I'd love to see them
