Canadian Railroads > New Loco Builder in Squamish?Date: 04/13/14 22:40 New Loco Builder in Squamish? Author: loleta Anyone know about a new company building switchers in Squamish?
L.F. Date: 04/14/14 03:58 Re: New Loco Builder in Squamish? Author: kgmontreal The company is the Tractive Power Corporation. The locomotive is an 80 ton, 3-axle industrial switcher made from a single SD truck. It looks like something from an LGB or Lego model railroad.

But more than a standard switcher or GP9? It also states with a 375hp engine so will see. Date: 04/14/14 06:32 Re: New Loco Builder in Squamish? Author: kgmontreal The tractive effort quoted seemed very optimistic.

Date: 04/15/14 20:15 Re: New Loco Builder in Squamish? Author: BCR4619 They have been using the old BCR Loco shops for a while. Saw progress of it and seems pretty neat. Quiet inside, just sounds like a CAT purring away, I guess u can compare it to sounding like a RS18 rebuild on BCR.
Was sent out last week on 546 (Wednesday night) and spotted this weekend in the dockyard. Should be heading to P&H in Cloverdale via SRY here shortly if not it might be there already. It's currently on a 2 month lease with an option to buy.... Posted from iPhone Date: 04/15/14 21:46 Re: New Loco Builder in Squamish? Author: truxtrax BCR4619 Wrote:
