Canadian Railroads > Before and After of one of CN's LNG UnitsDate: 07/28/14 08:53 Before and After of one of CN's LNG Units Author: tsokolan Did some shooting with a friend yesterday that included catching CN 5258 on the point of a freight. The 5258 was one of 2 SD40-2W'sd selected for conversion to diesel/LNG (natural gas) fuel for testing purposes. When the testing period was complete, the 2 units were converted to conventional diesel fuel, but retained their SD45 like radiator sections. The 2 SD's are now in the general freight pool. Looking through my files, I found I had shot the 5258 before the conversion took place.
