It's on the CN Margo Sub., the former Canadian Northern main line between Winnipeg and Edmonton. The CP Tisdale Sub. crosses the CN at Wadena. The CN main line (former Grand Trunk Pacific) is south of this route.

The image is of Wadena SK. ex-CNor station in 1975. Note that part of the baggage room has been removed, replaced by a loading dock. Note the milk churns, probably long stored in the baggage room.

Clair SK., the wreck site is a few kilometers east of Wadena.
