More of the CN Turbo...
Author: Ray_Murphy

This photo was taken on August 8th, 1976 from the overpass at Macdonald College in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue (suburb of Montreal). This is CN Train #60 from Toronto, led by power unit 153. As I mentioned in the post a few days ago, these CN train sets were painted yellow with Via markings about one year before Via came into official existence. You can also see the Montreal 1976 olympics logo on the side of the power unit.

Great photos guys! I've always liked how these looked, wish they lasted longer than they did.

A pair of gas turbines (jet engines) connected to alternators in each cab car.
Powerful but loud and very much a gas hog.

August 1980,not sure of the day, I was in Ontario for family event / wedding. Think I have another view of the same train somewhere in a "yellow box". Doug
