CP's Marpole Bridge Burns

This happened months ago but I only heard about it today and have not seen it mentioned here:

A report from three weeks ago states that no repairs have been made and the rails approaching the bridge are being reclaimed by blackberry bushes. Tank care remain stranded at the one remaining industry south of the bridge.
The fire is either very unfortunate or very convenient, depending on one's perspective. It reminds me of the fire which consumed ATSF's Richmond ferry slip in the '80s, a fascinating but money-losing operation.

I was in Vancouver last weekend and I wanted to get a photo of Univar while the cars were still there. Have heard that they could be cut up for scrap where they sit. I agree, this fire was far too convenient...
