Can you ID the locations?
Author: dcmkris

I've been following the Flickr account of the John W Barriger III National Railroad Library for the past few weeks. While there are many photos they are very
short on information, myself and others have taken to putting up info about photos as they find them and can fill in the blanks.

There are quite a few CP/CN photos of steam and even the CP E8's. The problem for me is I know very few of the locations by sight without a lot of research.
I can pin down the history of the loco's based on books and on-line sites. But if someone could help ID the following locations that would be awesome.

These are just a few of the pic's I've been thru about 500 photos and I bet there are at least 100 related to CP/CN.

This is a history of the collection:

The images you see hare come from the scrapbooks of John W. Barriger III. Mr. Barriger took his camera with him as he investigated railroads as part of this work
with the Reconstruction Finance Corporation and later as the President of the Monon, P&LE, Katy and Boston and Maine Railroads.

The first link is to the entire collection, while the remainder should take you directly to the several of the CN/CP photos. Just a few notes sometimes the photos
are not the best but considering some of them were taken in the 1930's that's not too shocking. Some photos seem to have been scanned twice or at different settings,
I'm not sure if this is due to photos and negatives being scanned or why really.

There are some great photos therein. The CPR E8's were purchased for the Montreal-Boston passenger service that was jointly operated with the B&M. A number of the E8 shots that I looked at were taken on the B&M in the U.S.
