Canadian Railroads > VIA and AMT todayDate: 02/26/15 17:00 VIA and AMT today Author: Mberry Took my camera to work today and shot a couple of VIA trains at lunch and my AMT train on the way home. The first images shows VIA 55 for Toronto crossing the Lachine canal with VIA 6425 leading. The train is 5 minutes out of Montreal's Central Station and is passing the old CN swing bridge. In the distance is the Wellington tower. The second photos hows the Wellington tower as it looked today.
The third shot shows my ride home, the 5:55 PM departure from Lucien L'Allier station in Montreal (AMT 77 for Candiac). The engine is RBRX 18524, an ex-GO Transit F59PH which unusually has a five digit engine number. It was out of AMT service for well over a year, but has been back in service a few weeks now.
