Southbound from Williams Lake BC on the BC Rail with CN 2632 leading.  A few views from within the cab.  Doug

08 headlight indicators and electronic fuel gauge. note the bi-lingual lettering. the electronic fuel guages never worked


09 pacesetter console, for slow speed loading / unloading of coal cars etc.

10 Conductors speedometer

11 along Lac La Hache, south of Wright siding

12 Speedometer, showing 35 mph, the little 3 indicates we were accelerating speed and at that rate would gain 3 mph over the next minute if continuing to accelerate at that rate. Crew alerter screen to the right of the speedo.

So many things today in these pictures wouldn't fly with management. The cell phone on the desk with the pack of smokes, the taking of pictures on company property...all the things we use to take for granted as being part of railroading life no longer are even allowed. Pictures such as these will become more and more rare in the future.

Yup, a pack of "No7's" haven't had them since a "cardiac event".  doug
