Continuing with the chase of CBNS 306/305 on August 20, 1997 (see last week's installment).  After 306 gave its two trailing units to 305 at Gannon, the westbound continued towards Stellarton.  In the photo below, 2039, 2317, 2034 and 2016 are slowing to a stop just east of the Antigonish station.  The conductor will cut the power off just before the crossing circuit and then pull ahead to pick up loaded pulpwood cars from the siding west of the crossing.  The crew will also take a break at the nearby Tim Horton's, located on the other side of the wood yard.  In half an hour or so the train will be back together, and be ready for the assault on Marshy Hope (Kodachromes, so not yet scanned).
