From inside the Nelson, BC diesel shop in 1971 comes of view of CLC H16-44 #8556. Despite appearances the unit is not being scrapped but was instead receiving heavy repairs. It still had four more years of service ahead of it when this photo was taken. Retired in 1975 8556 never received the Action Red paint scheme, finishing its career in the maroon and gray script.
