Canadian Railroads > and another "on this day"

Feb 7, 2006.  Couple of views of an apparatus on the CN 7049.  Info I got was that it was a camera, enabled the yardmaster or some other person to "watch the point" for backup moves using the camera instead of somebody physically watching.  No idea what the air hose was for, perhaps to blow dust and moisture off the camera lens. The camera portion is missing when I took these images.

Third image at Wright BC, we were in the siding, waiting for the south bound to pass by with the 4645 leading. A typical mid-winter afternoon in central BC.
