Canadian Railroads > New update from Turcot WestDate: 04/26/16 10:46 New update from Turcot West Author: kgmontreal There has been big progress at Turcot West. The first slice of the "tunnel" has been lifted by the gantries and moved by the SPMT platforms (self-propelled modular transporter) away from the tracks. The slice is 35 or so feet long and is now being lowered to the ground and disconnected from the gantries. The removed slice was moved much farther than I expected.

Michael Date: 04/26/16 12:17 Re: New update from Turcot West Author: kgmontreal I can only presume.

There's some confusion in the above post. The "tunnel" at Turcot West is being demolished, not built. Excellent description in the linked post.
