MLW Monday-On The Ground
Author: arwye

Early on Sunday morning, August 17, 1980, we headed down to the yard at Lillooet to find M630 #722 on the ground after splitting a switch on the engine service area lead. This little incident nicely tied up BCR's operation's until the big hook arrived from North Vancouver on their next northbound freight. Next week we'll see how 722 was re-railed. At least it cleared the siding. Loved the two tone BCR paint.

With the recent interest in BCR I went through the John F Garden BCR book the other night, noticed photo #1 is in the book, as are many others that have been posting recently. Interesting to see the additional perspectives, great stuff.

+edit spelling, oops

One small correction, the book you are reffering to was written by John F Garden and is a must to own for any British Columbia Railway fan.

Fixed, thanks.
Also have the Route of the Cariboo by Adolf Hungry Wolf, came out at about the same time but is more focused on the PGE, lots of early excursions and route building photos. Similar but different.

I want to know if the house on the hill in the first photo is for sale.
Now we're talking...

How much and how big is the basement?
