Canadian Railroads > Well, somebody has to post something today!!??Date: 06/23/16 11:20 Well, somebody has to post something today!!?? Author: hoggerdoug No doubt these are reposts, but what the heck, got to fill up this space somehow.
images 1 ENGRO 901 at Edmonton, AB, Calder Shops, June 1982, apparently I was lucky to see this thing, "out and about" for repairs and maintenance. Oh my 1972 Chev Malibu in the background with those ugly Alberta plates. 2 ETR 106, guess it does not count for MLW Monday, Essex, Ontario Oct 1978, no luck getting it out for a better shot. 3 ETR 106 Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/23/16 11:23 by hoggerdoug. Date: 06/23/16 12:03 Re: Well, somebody has to post something today!!?? Author: stevelv Cool shots Doug. FYI, Essex Terminal 106 is an ALCO ex Lehigh and Hudson River number 22. So I guess technically it would not have counted for MLW Monday.

An American was visiting friends in B.C. and the conversation turned to cars and driving. The American said to his friend: "That's a neat idea giving all your beginner drivers those black and yellow plates." Author: hoggerdoug I had a "trainee engineer" under my wings for a few weeks, he was having a difficult time grasping some of the basic concepts of train handling etc. In a desperate moment I got one of those "L" stickers for learning drivers from the motor vehicle branch. I stuck on the side of the cab for a few trips, only promise to take it off if he the trainee improved. After a trip or two of embarrassment, he improved and I did away with the "Learner" sticker. Looks like the 'friction bearings' were replaced with rollers. Date: 06/24/16 15:11 Re: Well, somebody has to post something today!!?? Author: hoggerdoug S 2, Alco 1946, modified. Doug
