Canadian Railroads > Same bridge, same day, very different anglesDate: 07/19/16 17:02 Same bridge, same day, very different angles Author: Mberry These two shots show two CN trains leaving the Port of Montreal today as they cross the bridge over the eastern end of the Lachine Canal., from very different angles.
1-At 0905, CN 2189 & CN 2151 (originally ATSF 854 & ATSF 832, Super Fleet Dash8-40CW's) along with CN 2636 lead CN 149 over the Lachine Canal. This shorter than usual intermodal train is 9,868 feet/438 axles long. 2-At 1255 I'm on my lunch break and only have my iPhone with me. As I see that the Port of Montreal security is at a nearby level crossing, I know that a train will pass shortly. From a tower I shot CN 7075 & CN 7256 lashed up nose to nose as they cross the same bridge as CN 149 did earlier in the day, in the same direction, but shot from a very different angle and elevation.
