MLW Monday - a forlorn CP M636
Author: Mberry

M636 CP 4723 was donated to the town of Farnham, Qc and placed on display in the mid-1990's. Time has not been kind to this unit which would have traveled the now CMQ, once CP rails which pass nearby. Previously a CP caboose and speeder were also on display with it, but both were scrapped about 5 years back. I shot the unit on Saturday on the way back from the Eastern Townhips and it is in very rough shape. Also in rough shape is the ex-CP station which is just a stones throw away from the unit. The MMA had used it but CMQ has not used it and it has been empty for a couple of years now. It was offered to the city of Farnham, but last I read they wanted nothing to do with the building. I would imagine both the station and M636 won't be here in a couple of years.

So sad. I'm hoping to get there and see it someday before it's gone.
