Canadian Railroads > Roger Puta Slides from Alberta, Caption Help Needed

Found more of Roger Puta's slides taken in Canada  The first ones look to be of a ride on a mixed train from Lac La Biche (written on the grain elevator), Alberta in May 1985.

1. Fairview 4603, CN 5517 and CN 4270 at Lac La Biche.  What was the first diesel.  "Fairview" is written under the cab window.

2. CN 7856 Baggage Car, Coach, and Caboose 79101 at Lac La Biche

Note 4, 5, and 6 are in the order taken.  I have not yet found slides from the end of the trip.  I have found one slide from inside the coach during the trip so he didn't ride in the cab the whole time.

Any help in writing captions would be appreciated.

The 4603 looks to be ex-Northern Alberta Railway.  Fred

Another question. Roger's Kodachromes have aged to a bluish tint as many Kodachromes do.  Is the blue of the baggage car right.  Seems awfully blue.  Could you aim me at a photograph posted somewhere with the correct blue.  Thanks.

The GP9 is ex. Northern Alberta Railway, as is the caboose. Looks like Roger road the "Muskeg Mixed" which IIRC was the last mixed train on the CNR. Service was between Edmonton and Fort McMurray AB and ended in the early 1980's.
