New paint scheme for Central Maine & Quebec!
Author: kgmontreal

Wednesday Oct 12, 2016 was the busiest day I've ever seen at Farnham, QC.  There were 12 locos in the yard when we arrived at 1000 and all except one had moved by the time we left at 1600.  Here are the first three trains, the Sherbooke local, Tuesday's #1 being taken apart and the turn to Newport, VT.

Two units in new paint that I know of, now. Apparently they're doing OK financially?

My understanding is that a contractor has been hired to paint the Red Barns.  Four Barns have been done although only one has been on the road so far.  The painted GP38 seems to be assigned to Maine at the moment.

CMQ has spent a fortune improving track.  Whether they are making an equivalent fortune is a good question.

Sure is a colorful railroad, locomotive wise. Very much like the new paint scheme. Sure hope they make a go of it.

Picture #5 is kind of reminiscent of the old Santa Fe/ Maersk Line locomotives.
