three views of the 4611, looks okay but I, C something missing. Looks like a bad pot of coffee out the window on the Conductors side.

Were the BC Rail and CN yard slugs "interchangable"?  i.e. same connections.

The door on 747 seems to be a case of "parts is parts" Can't tell what railroad's unit it was off of though, possibly something out of the back forty at Larry's Truck!

To be quite honest, I'm not sure. The BCR slugs were "home built" and may not have been compatible with other equipment. Although the MU electrical and air were compatible with any locomotive. The internal controls may not have been compatiable operation wise.  Doug

I don't know the answer, but it appears that there is a CN GP9 on the other end of that slug, so it may very well be the "mother" that is supplying power to it.

Yes, most likely the CN geep is supplying power to the slug, and the 617 is operating via the MU cable as trailing unit. Memory serves me that quite often in Williams Lake yard crew operated beltpack, the yard power was setup this way, unit / slug / unit or just 2 units back to back. Belt pack (RCO) crews were not allowed to "change ends" on the yard power.
In the good old days with real yard crew & engineer, we worked with one unit and a slug, sometimes two units, and could out perform any belt pack crew. Doug
