Canadian Railroads > Trillium & Ontario SouthlandDate: 02/16/17 15:23 Trillium & Ontario Southland Author: algoma11 Saw a curious meeting today in the north end of St Catharines at the Eastchester Trillium crossing.
Two Trillium signal men meeting with two other men in an Ontario Southland van. They had clipboards and were inspecting track and signal boxes. Interesting because OSR is not related to Trillium and OSR is a minimum of 1.5 hours away??????? Mike Bannon St Catharines, ON Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/16/17 15:23 by algoma11. Am thinking both companies have qualified employees, and signals and related are especially important. If one company is able to obtain assistance from another independent operator so be it; it no doubt works both ways. Now if an OSR locomotive should appear on Trillium... I'd be enquiring further. OSR motive power was borrowed by GEXR two years ago for plow train service. Car control for OSR & Trillium are done out of St. Catharines by a private company with ex-Trillium employees. Trillium changed ownership late last year and changes have been made, especially in the area of motive power (a bit slow on the power change due to issues with the leased locomotive).
