The water is high

I shot CN 149 crossing the eastern end of the Lachine Canal in Montreal this morning, and I don't think I've ever seen the water so high. It featured an impressive lashup (CN 2023, BCOL 4605 & CN 5757) but on a very dark morning, as this 12,000 foot intermodal train slowly heads west.

For comparison's sake, here is the water level last November at the same location.
